Playground Rules and Activities

As you are aware, safety is a critical issue during recess time. To assist in keeping the activities fun, yet as safe as possible, please share and discuss the following issues with your students.

BEFORE SCHOOL

No classroom equipment should be on the playground. There will be a ball can on the playground in the morning where students can get a ball to use. Handball, foursquare and basketball are activities that are permitted where a ball is required. Any game that requires kicking or throwing will not be allowed during this time because the playground is so crowded.

Equipment borrowed must be returned to the ball can. This is the only time the ball can will be out during the day. Classroom equipment will be used during morning and lunch recesses.
