Interventions

When a teacher is concerned that a student:

Is not making appropriate academic progress, or
Demonstrates severe social problems or
Demonstrates extreme behavioral difficulty
They should:

1. Check the student's cumulative file
2. Speak to the previous years teacher
3. Maintain contact with the parent in person or through phone calls
4. Document the areas of concern
5. Attempt interventions such as seat changes, behavior contracts etc.
