Referring Students to SST

When such interventions are unsuccessful, teachers may refer the student's case to the SST.

1. In order to refer a case to SST teachers should complete SST forms 1 through 3.

2. Submit them to Ursula.

3. The SST will provide the referring teacher with a meeting time and an invitation for the parent to participate in the SST.

4. The referring teacher will meet with the parent and SST on the designated date. When 4th or 5th grade students are referred they may be asked to participate in a portion of the meeting.

5. The team will identify a plan of action and monitor it for 4-8 weeks.

6. The team will reconvene to discuss student progress and determine if further action is necessary.
