Steps to receive assistance

1. The classroom teacher arranges a meeting with the Student Study Team (SST) - members of the team may suggest modifications/techniques to try in the classroom.

2 The teacher fills out a "Request for Assistance" form and gives it to the language/speech specialist (LSS) if the modifications suggested above have failed to resolve the problem.

3. The LSS screens the child to determine if a full evaluation is needed.
