Speech

Please be aware that:

a. Screenings are prioritized not only according to the order in which they were received, but also according to severity. For example, an older
child with problems in articulation, vocabulary, and grammar may
be screened before a younger child with only an articulation delay, even though the "Request for Assistance" form for the younger child was turned in first.

b. The time it takes the LSS to complete the screening will depend on the number of "Request for Assistance" forms the LSS has to process (many of these forms are received around grading time) and how many evaluations the LSS has already in process.

c. Spanish-speaking children can only be screened when a bilingual speech aide is available to assist.
